Rough grading is the ‘shaping’ of your lot that’s left – ranging from 7 – 20 cm – below the final grading to allow the placement of topsoil.

Final grading is the layer of topsoil that’s added to the top of the rough grade and compacted so that sod, liners and landscaping features can be added.
